How to Use Data from Apps Effectively
by Riccardo Zecchina (Bocconi and Oxford University)
A research team led by Riccardo Zecchina is working with the University of Oxford to develop machine learning algorithms for backend analysis of the data coming from apps tracking the contagion. Various technological platforms are converging on very similar solutions in different countries and the problem is now to understand how to use data effectively. From an epidemical point of view, in addition to the strategies of swab testing, social distancing and telemedicine, the use of information from apps must be relied on to control the second or third waves of Covid-19.
