The Relationship Between Trust and Institutions in the United States

Arnstein Aassve, Chen Peng, Nicolò Cavalli and Letizia Mencarini are using M-Turkers to assess the relationship between trust and institutions in the United States during the Covid-19 epidemic.

The idea is that trust in political leaders and institutions is essential for the effectiveness of proposed policies. We are following these attitudes in real time as we have been mapping 100 individuals per day since 6 April. The study will make it clear to what extent Trump's attack on the WHO will create polarization among the American public.
