Dr. Soheil Shayegh, "Prioritizing COVID-19 vaccine allocation in resource poor settings"

 

 

 

SHORT BIO

 

Our distinguished guest speaker Dr. Soheil Shayegh is a Scientist at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economy and the Environment in Milan and the co-founder of Climate and Health Initiative Alliance (CHIA). He is currently co-directing an international effort to develop a unified decision support framework for COVID-19 vaccination rollout programs in Sub Saharan Africa. He is a former Marie-Curie fellow at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) in Milan and has worked as postdoctoral research scientist at the Global Ecology Department of Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford University, USA. His research is focused on the interaction of natural and human systems and developing tools for decision making under uncertainty with applications to climate change and global health.
